You don’t necessarily need to look very hard.
Your own home. Your parents’ garden. A family farm. Somewhere with a view you love. Somewhere that has a personal connection to you both.
It may be worth exploring whether you could create your own wedding there.
Some of the best celebrant-led weddings take place in places that were never designed to be wedding venues at all.
And that’s one of the great advantages of choosing a celebrant.
The freedom to make it your wedding
A celebrant-led ceremony gives you much more freedom to decide what your wedding should look and feel like.
If you’re getting married at home or at a relative’s property, you may also have more freedom to choose your own suppliers. That could mean bringing in your favourite caterer or food truck, arranging your own flowers or supplying your own alcohol (saving you an absolute fortune!)
You might want a relaxed garden celebration, a marquee in a field, a long lunch with everyone you love or something entirely different.
You can start with the place and build the celebration around you.
