The Medieval Hall provides an intimate and atmospheric setting for a wedding ceremony. Historic buildings can give a ceremony an entirely different feeling: there are stories in the walls before you’ve even started telling your own. Steeped in rich local history and situated in its own private picturesque garden, Lady Margaret’s Medieval Hall offers a timeless, intimate and romantic setting for up to 36 guests, including the couple.
Geoff and Jean’s vow renewal
When I walked in for Geoff and Jean’s celebration, I felt like I was in a small chapel. A large stained glass window and an altar provided the backdrop for the ceremony. Their guests enjoyed champagne while sat in the pews, having walked the red carpet that flows down the aisle. Lady Margaret’s gives you the opportunity to have the beauty of a church ceremony without the religious bits! And the gardens were just perfect for photos.
Honiton itself is a historic market town in East Devon, conveniently located between Exeter and the Jurassic Coast, and makes a useful base for couples with guests travelling from different parts of Devon.
If you’re considering a wedding in Honiton or East Devon, Lady Margaret’s Medieval Hall is certainly worth exploring if you’re looking for something with character.
