I’m Julie Fox, an independent wedding celebrant based in Exeter, Devon, and I create ceremonies that are memorable, full of personality and – most importantly – completely about you.
I work with couples across Devon and beyond, creating everything from intimate ceremonies to big celebrations with all your favourite people.
And no two are ever the same. Because your wedding isn’t like anyone else’s.

Maybe yours started in the most romantic way imaginable. Maybe it involved a disastrous first date, a match-making friend, or years of wondering when the other person was finally going to get the hint.

If you’re an atheist but still have a soft spot for that hymn you sang in school assembly, we can include it. If you’re spiritual, we can include rituals that touch your soul. And if the only idol you worship is Madonna, we’ll probably find a way to squeeze her in somewhere too.
I’ve worked with couples who’ve included handfasting, jumping the broom, unity candles, sand ceremonies, celebrity guests, family traditions and animal ring bearers!
Whatever you choose, I’ll make sure it feels like your wedding ceremony – not somebody else’s idea of one.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of being part of some wonderfully varied celebrations.
I’ve conducted a wedding with an Elvis impersonator. Joined in with a flash mob rendition of You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feeling.
And most recently? A cowboy-themed wedding on an alpaca farm for Kelli and Dan.
So if you’ve got an idea that feels a little bit unusual, don’t worry. I’m probably going to love it.
And if you’d rather have something beautifully traditional, that’s absolutely fine too.

I started out as an entertainer, moved into the corporate world and eventually realised I wanted to use everything I’d learned about communication, storytelling and creating memorable experiences for something much more personal.
That’s how I became a celebrant and I’ve been doing this since 2017 – I’ve got the experience to deal with anything that comes my way…
I’m also proud to have been named Wedding Celebrant of the Year – Devon at the LuxLife Global Wedding Awards in 2023, 2024 and 2026.
I know that the most important part of this job is listening. Because this isn’t my wedding. It’s yours.
I could tell you how awesome my ceremonies are.

I’ve conducted ceremonies at a wide range of wedding venues across Devon, from beautiful country houses and barns to coastal and more unusual settings.
